The Argentina holiday is special and different from other normal holidays. At our Argentina horse riding accommodation we farm organically and don’t use growth hormones, pesticides, insecticides or chemical fertilizers. Our cattle, horses and chickens are free range. At our Argentina horse riding accommodation we are restoring the historic buildings located all through the estancia, taking care to restore them in understanding with the unique construction where possible. 90% of our energy is naturally produced (wind or solar generated). We use low energy bulbs and ask guests to use electricity sparingly. Grey water is used for watering the garden. All metal and bottles are recycled. Our employees are all local and all live on the farm and are very well cared for. Some of the staff have been with us for three generations. Wages are generous and paid on time, and staffs are given training. The horses are often bred locally and all purchases are local. The farm supports the local school, working on improvements including the water works, building an oven, providing cooking pots and pans, first aid kits and a solar energy system. Old horse shoes are turned into a game that can be purchased by guests, with profits going to the local school. We plant new fruit trees every year, providing shade for cattle, and have an organic vegetable garden. Our fertilizers are 100% natural manure or mulch. Shooting is banned, encouraging condors, vultures, foxes, etc. Food is sourced locally (or home grown) and our Chef’s mission statement is to work with the food community to celebrate local and regional foods and foster a more sustainable food supply.
